A place in the T20 World Cup final is on the line as New Zealand and South Africa meet at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Two well-constructed sides will fancy their chances of a shot at glory, and know each other well having already played during the initial group phase of the competition.

Captain Aiden Markram led the Proteas to victory then with a superb unbeaten 86, but an experienced New Zealand side has plenty of batting power and bowling guile.

At a ground that can be high scoring, pacing an innings and dealing with knockout pressure could be key as each team looks to set up a meeting with India or England.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When is New Zealand vs South Africa?

New Zealand vs South Africa will begin at 1.30pm GMT on Wednesday 4 March at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

How can I watch it?

Viewers in the United Kingdom can watch the first semi-final live on Sky Sports. A live stream will be available via Sky Go.

Team news

New Zealand seamer Matt Henry returned home for the birth of his second child ahead of the semi-final, but has made it back in time to India and appears set to feature. The Blackcaps may also mull adding another seam option in Jimmy Neesham having been spin-heavy in recent outings in Colombo. Cole McConchie or Ish Sodhi would appear to be most vulnerable.

South Africa rested a few of their first-choice bowling attack in their last Super 8 game against Zimbabwe, and Kagiso Rabada and co should return. They may well have a seam-heavy look, depending on conditions.

Possible line-ups

New Zealand XI: Tim Seifert (wk), Finn Allen, Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, Jimmy Neesham, Mitchell Santner, Matt Henry, Ish Sodhi, Lockie Ferguson.

South Africa XI: Aiden Markram (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Ryan Rickelton, Dewald Brevis, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Marco Jansen, Corbin Bosch, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi.
