Accra, (V/R), March 1, GNA – More than 30 educators and academic facilitators have successfully completed a Training of Trainers (ToT) seminar designed to equip participants with effective strategies to help learners attain academic excellence and personal development.

The week-long training programme dubbed “Study with Success” (SwS), was organised by “Success Life Institute,” from Zurich, Switzerland

The initiative sought to strengthen the capacity of teachers and facilitators to support students in achieving sustainable academic success.

Participants were drawn from various parts of the country including Senior High School teachers, lecturers and facilitators from tertiary institutions, as well as other education stakeholders who play key roles in student development.

The seminar was facilitated by an experienced team of international resource persons, including Mr Urs Wolf, an education consultant and author of Study with Success initiative from Zurich, Switzerland,

Mr Billy Tsemo, an international speaker from Cameroon; Mr Abel Sunday, an international speaker from Nigeria; and Madam Sarah Rhyner, also from Switzerland.

Throughout the training, participants were taken through a wide range of topics and simulation exercises, aimed at enhancing effective learning and teaching outcomes.

These included practical Note-taking techniques, Examination preparation strategies, Summary Writing skills, reading techniques, memory training, learning styles among others

Other topics included, Goal-setting and Prioritisation, The Pareto Principles, Sleep Management, and proactive learning habits and others.

The sessions were structured to address both academic performance and holistic student development at the Senior High School and tertiary levels.

Mr Urs Wolf addressing participants during the seminar, encouraged them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired with discipline and clear priorities in order to positively influence their students.

He emphasised that the principles taught were applicable beyond the classroom.

“These tools are designed to help students succeed academically, but they also contribute significantly to personal growth and lifelong success,” he noted.

The seminar held from Monday, 23rd February to Friday, 27th February 2026 at the International Leadership Foundation (ILF) centre in East Legon, Accra was in partnership with the Great Commission Movement of Ghana.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Doe Kumah, the National Director of GCMG, expressed appreciation for the strong commitment demonstrated by participants throughout the programme.

He urged them to transfer the same level of dedication to their students.

“When these principles are effectively passed on, the results will be evident in students’ academic performance and their overall emotional, physical, and spiritual development,” he said.

At the end of the seminar, all participants were awarded a “Silver” certificate of participation in recognition of their commitment and successful completion of the training.

Mr Willy Tsemo, a Golden Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who demonstrate the application of the knowledge acquired by organising other seminars and workshops to transfer the skills to their students and even other trainers.

Sharing her experience, Miss Hilda Zoe, a participant from Accra, described the programme as eye-opening and impactful.

“The seminar has broadened my understanding of how students can learn more effectively and achieve excellent results,” she stated.

The Training of Trainers seminar on “Study with Success,” marked a significant step toward strengthening the capacity of educators to nurture academic excellence, equipping participants with practical learning strategies and a renewed sense of purpose, the initiative is expected to create a lasting impact on students, institutions, and the broader educational landscape in the years ahead.

The seminar in Ghana marks the country as the 54th nation worldwide to benefit from the programme.

Whiles research proves the long-term impact of the initiative has been demonstrated through comprehensive assessments, as well as thousands of testimonials from participants across the globe.
