The Channel One TV / Citi FM Heritage Caravan 2026 officially began on Sunday morning with a live performance by Ghanaian band Kwan Pa at the ChannelOne TV garden.
Formed in 2017, Kwan Pa is a multi-award-winning group that specialises in traditional African music, particularly Palm Wine Highlife.
The band combined indigenous instruments, including the seperewa (harp-lute), with classical guitar to perform popular Ghanaian gospel songs.

The performance drew an enthusiastic audience of all ages, with caravanites dancing and joining in as the event marked the start of the Heritage Caravan. Organisers said the first stop on the tour is Safari Valley Resort.

Now in its 10th year, the Heritage Caravan has evolved into one of Ghana’s most anticipated tourism experiences. Over the next eight days, participants will journey from Accra through historic towns, cultural landmarks and scenic destinations spanning 14 regions.
The initiative continues to promote domestic tourism while deepening appreciation for Ghana’s diverse traditions, histories and landscapes.
