PalmPay has announced the first set of winners in its Valentine-themed #LoveWithPalmPay campaign, following a week of entries from users across Nigeria who shared personal stories of how the digital payment platform has shaped their everyday financial experiences.

The two-week campaign, which ran from  9 to 21 February, celebrates “real love stories shaped by simple money moments”, highlighting how users rely on the application for transfers, bill payments, savings and routine financial support within their relationships.

According to a statement, four couples were selected in the first batch based on how effectively they showcased the platform’s features and demonstrated its role in making daily transactions seamless and reliable. Each winner received a cash prize of N100,000.

The first batch of winners includes Abdulsalam Aishat Omowumi from Facebook, Symply Omotoshan from Instagram, Unusual_aaron from TikTok, and MTN_DATA_VENDOR from X.

Speaking on the campaign, the Head of Marketing, Olorunfemi Hanson, said the initiative was designed to appreciate the platform’s growing user base and highlight the practical ways customers integrate the application into their daily lives.

“We are using the campaign to appreciate our over 35 million users and the many ways they use the PalmPay app to make life seamless,” Hanson said. “The winners were chosen based on how clearly they demonstrated PalmPay’s role in enabling reliable everyday payments.”

The company added that the campaign remains ongoing, noting that another set of four winners will be announced in the coming days. It encouraged more users to continue sharing their stories using the hashtag #LoveWithPalmPay across its social media platforms.

PalmPay said the campaign reflects its broader goal of delivering financial solutions that not only simplify transactions but also foster meaningful connections through everyday money interactions.

The fintech platform provides a range of services, including mobile payments, savings and microinsurance through its application and agent network, with a focus on driving financial inclusion in underserved markets.
