One South Korean court don find ex-president Yoon Suk Yeol guilty of masterminding insurrection.

Court sentence di 65-year-old to life in prison over im failed attempt for December 2024 at imposing military rule.

Yoon order bin last for only six hours but e shake di country – e paralyse wetin bin remain of di govment and cost im party the next election.

E also divide South Korea, and e show in di way crowds of im supporters gather to protest outside di court.

Yoon dey already serving jail time for anoda conviction over di failed martial law order. E still dey face two more trials.

Seoul Central District Court rule say Yoon na di leader wey lead di insurrection wey hapun on December 3, 2024.

Di prosecutors bin ask make di court sentence di disgraced ex-president to death, dem bin impeach and remove am from office becos e declare martial law.

Di court also rule say Yoon martial law bin wan paralyse di National Assembly of functioning properly for a long time, but di court reject di special prosecutor claim say Yoon bin dey plan to establish long-term dictatorship.

Di 65 years old, Yon bin maintain say im dey innocent throughout di appearance for court, im lawyers for court say e get di presidential authority to declare martial law and im decision na to stop opposition parties from obstructing di work of di govment.

Afta di court decision, Yoon lawyers claim say di court ruling no dey backed by evidence.

Yoon lawyers don tok say di ruling only confirm say na “pre-written script” and dem claim say e no dey supported by evidence in di case, but dem no give more details.

Di lawyers tok say dem go discuss wit Yoon if e wan take di matter go appeal or not.

Who be Yoon Suk Yeol?
