The Vice President of Ghana, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has extended warm wishes to Ghanaians on the occasion of Chocolate Day and Valentine’s Day celebrations.

In a post shared on her official X page on February 14, 2026, the Vice President encouraged Ghanaians to celebrate the season with locally produced chocolate.

According to her, the occasion represents a season of love, kindness, reflection, and appreciation.

She also used the opportunity to spotlight Ghana’s premium cocoa, describing it as one of the country’s finest gifts to the world.

“Today, as we celebrate love, kindness, and appreciation, let us also honour one of Ghana’s finest gifts to the world: our premium cocoa and chocolate,” she said.

She called on the public to support the local industry by choosing proudly made-in-Ghana chocolate as they mark the day.

“There is no sweeter way to mark this day than by choosing proudly made-in-Ghana chocolate. Share love. Share chocolate. Choose Ghana,” she added.

Ghana is one of the world’s leading cocoa producers, and National Chocolate Day, celebrated alongside Valentine’s Day, forms part of efforts to promote local consumption and add value to the country’s cocoa sector.

Happy Chocolate Day and Happy Valentine’s Day to all Ghanaians.

Today, as we celebrate love, kindness, and appreciation, let us also honour one of Ghana’s finest gifts to the world: our premium cocoa and chocolate.

There is no sweeter way to mark this day than by choosing…
