The Nigerian Defence Academy has cautioned the public about a fraudulent invitation letter allegedly sent to one Abubakar Washima, claiming he had been selected for admission.
The academy confirmed that the letter is fake and did not originate from the NDA.
In a post on its X handle, Academy Public Relations Officer, Major Reuben Kovangiya, on Saturday, the academy was quoted as saying, ”The Nigerian Defence Academy wishes to inform the general public that the purported invitation letter addressed to one Abubakar Washima informing him of being selected into the NDA, is fake and did not originate from the NDA.
“For the benefit of doubt, any official invitation for screening or offer of admission into the prestigious military institution is officially released in national dailies and on the NDA website . Members of the public are strongly advised to exercise caution and disregard such fake correspondence. Any suspicious activity or document should be promptly reported through our official direct messaging channels for verification,” the post read.
