The widow of the late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Hajia Amina Adam, widely known as Mc Naza, has congratulated Baba Jamal following his election as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the constituency.

In a statement, she commended Baba Jamal and wished him strength and wisdom as he leads the party into the March 3 by-election.

Baba Jamal reacts to recall by President Mahama, vote-buying allegations

“I take this opportunity to congratulate Hon. Baba Jamal on his declaration by the party, and I wish him the very best as he leads our party into the March 3 by-election in Ayawaso East. I pray for strength and wisdom for him in the days ahead,” Hajia Amina Adam said.

She also expressed gratitude to her supporters for their loyalty, sacrifices, and belief in their shared vision.

“Now is the time for unity. I call on all my supporters and every member of the NDC in Ayawaso East to rally behind our candidate. Let us put aside all differences and work together with one purpose: to secure a resounding victory for the NDC in the constituency on March 3, [2026]” she added.

Majority calls for annulment of Ayawaso East parliamentary primaries

Hajia Amina Adam further stressed the importance of collective effort and party unity in securing the win:

“Together, in unity and discipline, we shall win Ayawaso East for the NDC. Long live Ayawaso East. Long live NDC. Long live Ghana.”

Hajia Amina Adam was among five contestants who vied in the NDC primaries to choose the party’s candidate for the upcoming by-election scheduled for March 3, 2026.
