Nana Agradaa’s 15-year prison sentence was lowered to 12 months by the Amasaman High Court, but the judge warned against using her ruling for “fake prophecies.”

Agradaa, who was found guilty of defrauding under false pretenses and charlatanic advertising, was clearly upset in court and started crying when she heard the new punishment.Angel Asiamah, her husband, was ecstatic and referred to himself as “the happiest man on earth” outside the courtroom.

While acknowledging Agradaa’s conviction, the court used its discretion to reduce the sentence, stating that it was out of proportion to the facts of the case.

With just a few months left, Agradaa will be released from prison when the amended sentence goes into effect on July 3, 2025.Agradaa’s defense contended that she was a first-time offender who had cooperated throughout the trial, while the prosecution maintained that her acts were intentional and lacked sincere regret.
