Ronaldo is training again with Al Nassr Ronaldo is training again with Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to training with Al Nassr, bringing an end to days of speculation surrounding his absence from the squad.

The Portuguese forward was notably left out of Al Nassr’s 1-0 victory over Al Riyadh on Monday, February 2, 2026, with reports suggesting he had gone on strike amid frustration over developments in the transfer window.

Tensions were believed to centre on Karim Benzema’s proposed move from Al-Ittihad to league leaders Al-Hilal, a switch that would have strengthened a direct title rival sitting just one point ahead of Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo was reportedly unhappy with what he viewed as a chaotic window and a lack of sufficient backing as competitors moved to reinforce. His absence from matchday duty only fueled talk of unrest within the camp.

However, fresh reports confirm that the 40-year-old is back in training with the squad, just days before Al Nassr’s crucial clash against Al-Ittihad on Friday, February 6, 2026.

His return offers a timely boost as the club looks to keep pace in the title race.

On the pitch, Ronaldo remains central to Al Nassr’s ambitions. He has delivered 18 goals and three assists in 22 appearances this season, underlining his continued importance as the campaign gathers momentum once again.
