Malala Reveals Secret Pact: Uhuru and Gachagua Unite to Reclaim Mt Kenya | Streamline Feed

The shifting sands of Mt Kenya politics have taken a dramatic new turn. In a revelation that is set to send shockwaves through the Kenya Kwanza administration, Cleophas Malala has disclosed that former President Uhuru Kenyatta and DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua are orchestrating a covert alliance to consolidate the region’s fractured vote.

Speaking exclusively on TV47, the DCP Deputy Party Leader lifted the lid on what he describes as a “quiet” but potent cooperation between the two heavyweights. According to Malala, the recent turbulence within the Jubilee Party—specifically the ousting of Jeremiah Kioni—was not a random internal squabble but a calculated move to pave the way for this new union. “Uhuru and Gachagua are working together,” Malala stated, his tone leaving little room for doubt. “It is only a matter of days before this becomes public knowledge.”

The Strategy of Consolidation

The logic behind the alliance appears to be a desperate but strategic bid to shield the Mountain from external political predation. For months, the region has been a battleground, with President William Ruto’s UDA making aggressive inroads. Malala argues that the “handshake” between the Uhuru and Gachagua camps is designed to present a united front, effectively locking out opposing forces.

  • Jubilee’s House Cleaning: The removal of hardliners like Kioni is seen as a necessary purge to allow for dialogue with Gachagua’s DCP, a party that has been gaining traction as the voice of the disenchanted Kikuyu voter.
  • The Kingpin Question: By aligning with Uhuru, Gachagua seeks to legitimize his claim to the region’s mantle, tapping into the former President’s residual influence and deep networks.
  • 2027 Calculations: While the next general election feels distant, this realignment is a clear preparation for a high-stakes bargaining table where Mt Kenya intends to speak with one voice.

A Denial with a Wink?

Despite Malala’s bold assertions, the Office of the 4th President has issued a formal denial, distancing Uhuru from any purported “unity meetings.” In a terse statement, the office warned against “misleading content,” maintaining that the retired President remains retired. Yet, in the murky waters of Kenyan politics, such denials are often interpreted as tactical delays rather than factual refutations.

As the political drums beat louder, the question is no longer if the Mountain will unite, but who will hold the spear. If Malala’s intelligence is accurate, the answer lies in an unlikely partnership that could redefine the battle for 2027.
