Nigerian singer Ceeza Milli has claimed he discovered Ayra Starr at a very young age.

Speaking in a recent interview with Yanga FM, he boasted that the ‘Rush’ crooner cannot deny the crucial role he played in her career.

According to him, he discovered Ayra Starr when he was dating a lady who was her school mother.

He also claimed that he accommodated Ayra Starr, emphasising his impact on her career.

“When I discovered Ayra Starr, I wasn’t really paying attention to keeping artists, but I like to watch artists grow… She can’t deny my impact on her career. I discovered her at a very young age.

“She was still in school then. She was my ex-girlfriend’s school daughter so she was even staying at my place a point,” he claimed.

Ayra Starr came into the spotlight with the release of her self-titled debut extended play in January 2021 through Mavin Records.

Starr has previously revealed that Mavin boss, Don Jazzy, contacted her in December 2019 after discovering her Instagram page, where she shares her music.

Meanwhile, Nene Aderigbigbe, the mother of  Ayra Starr, has shared the reasons she decided to completely cut ties with three close friends.

Naija News reports in a post shared on her Instagram page, Nene spoke about past choices she made and questioned whether she reacted too strongly at the time.

While looking back, she explained that each friendship ended for different personal reasons that made her uncomfortable.

She said the first friendship ended after a serious issue of trust.

According to her, the friend shared a private conversation they had with her husband without permission.

Nene felt betrayed by the action and believed that personal discussions between friends should remain confidential.

That incident led her to stop all communication with the friend, and she has not spoken to her since.

She also explained that the second friendship ended because of the friend’s husband.

Nene said the man regularly contacted her and shared personal information about his movements, which she found unnecessary and inappropriate.

She made it clear that she was only friends with his wife and did not want any form of personal relationship or communication with him, as it made her uneasy.

The third friendship, according to Nene, ended because she felt emotionally exhausted. She said the friend, who had been married for over two decades, constantly called to complain about her husband.

Over time, Nene felt drained by the repeated complaints and believed she could not continue being a dumping ground for marital issues she had no solution for.

Nene added that she chose not to explain her reasons to any of the three friends at the time.

Till now, she said they do not know exactly why she stopped talking to them, but she said her decisions were necessary for her peace of mind.
