The Bring Back Mahama Group and Friends of Mahama have appealed to Ghanaians to stay focused on national development and the government’s Reset Agenda, rather than engaging in discussions about a possible third term for President John Dramani Mahama.
In a joint statement issued today, the pro-Mahama groups said the challenges confronting the country require unity, discipline, and a results-driven mindset from all citizens, stressing that distractions could undermine national progress.
“At this critical moment in our nation’s history, our primary focus remains supporting President John Dramani Mahama to reset Ghana, rebuild trust in leadership, strengthen the economy, and restore hope to the Ghanaian people,” the statement said.
The groups called on supporters, party faithful, and well-wishers to channel their energies into helping the government deliver on its key priorities, including economic recovery, job creation, institutional reforms, and strengthened social protection.
They reaffirmed President Mahama’s respect for the Constitution and democratic principles, noting that their support is anchored in his leadership and vision rather than personal ambition.
“Our loyalty is not to ambition, but to results, integrity, and leadership that improves the lives of Ghanaians,” the statement stressed.
While indicating their readiness to support President Mahama should he decide to offer himself for service again in the future, the groups emphasized that their immediate priority is ensuring the full success of the Reset Agenda for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
The statement concluded with a call for unity and peace, urging citizens to put national interest above all else and remain committed to Ghana’s development.
