Mahama assigned National Security personnel to protect us during his govt when we were even accusing him of wrongdoing, ask Kojo Oppong Nkrumah — A Plus

Entertainment pundit and politician, Kwame Obeng Asare, popularly known as A Plus, has expressed appreciation for the tolerance former President John Dramani Mahama exhibited towards critics during his tenure in office.

A Plus, who has been vocal about political issues, reminisced about the time when he and others openly criticized and accused President Mahama of various issues including corruption.

Despite their criticisms, he noted that Mahama ensured their safety by assigning National Security personnel to protect them.

In an interview with Angel FM, A Plus highlighted the instance when current Minister of Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, also received security protection during Mahama’s administration when he faced threats for criticising the then-President.

Asserting his fearlessness in speaking out against the current Akufo-Addo-led government, A Plus emphasized that his past experiences have shown that he cannot be intimidated for criticising the current administration.

“Nobody can do anything to me. When we were following them [NPP], we used to criticize John Mahama, and he assigned National Security personnel to protect us. During his time, we were accusing and attacking him [Mahama] for wrongdoing,” A Plus stated during the interview.

He added, “Ask Oppong Nkrumah if Mahama didn’t give him security protection when he had an issue. So, I don’t care what people say.”
