It takes negativity and controversy to become popular – Frank Naro –

Ghanaian musician and actor, Frank Naro has lamented about recent phenomena where people want to become popular through negativity and controversy.

He said in an interview on Property FM in Cape Coast “Nowadays people want to trend with negativity and get the numbers so in Ghana when you say negative stuff then you start trending.

“So everyone wants to be known and recognized through negativity and so if everyone says yes to a particular thing, you’d get someone who would say no.

“Because they know that when they say no as compared to the majority who say yes that’s when they’ll get people to listen to them and get people talking”.

The Kumawood movie star who recently said he’ll only go back to the movie industry if he’s to act in a porn movie opined that most of the popular figures on social media are thriving on negativity.

“If you observe social media nowadays, all those who are popular and famous on social media are those who are aggressive and pretend to be controversial,” he posited.

“That’s what currently exists in Ghana and this would not help the country because people can say all manner of fake news about you and go scot-free,” he told the host.
