Massive Protest Begins In Abuja.

Angry individuals in Abuja are protesting against the continuous insecurity issues and killings ravaging the northern states.

It’s important to recall that since last week, some citizens from the Northern part of the country have been protesting against the insecurity issues within the Northern region.

They begged the federal government led by President Buhari to help them by ending the activities of bandits and other criminal groups in the Northern states.

19 People Injured During An Accident In Ibadan.

Recently, about seven people died while 19 individuals were equally injured in an accident that occurred on Wednesday morning around Badeku area of Ibadan (Oyo State).

The accident, which involved a truck occurred at about 7am at Badeku Junction on “Ibadan-Ile-Ife” Road. However, an eyewitness (Mr Tunde Lateef) told NAN (News Agency of Nigeria) at the scene of the accident that the truck carrying dozens of labourers was speeding toward Ikire road when another truck (Which was coming out of Badeku Village) crossed the express road and they collided.

DSS Advises Media Against Spreading Fake News.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has called on the media to be mindful of their duties in national security.

A statement released by Peter Afunanya (Public Relations Officer of the DSS) said that influencers, media practitioners should use their platforms to pursue peaceful coexistence.

DSS also advised citizens and residents to cooperate with security and law enforcement agencies.

US Government Threatens New Measures Against “Myanmar junta”.

The United States Of America is considering new measures to pressure Myanmar junta to return to a “democratic trajectory”. This information was disclosed by Antony Blinken (Secretary of State) on Wednesday.

It’s important to recall that Myanmar has been in chaos since February when Aung San Suu Kyi’s civilian government was ousted by the military.
