Update: Court Issues Arrest Warrant For The Arrest Of NPP MP

An Accra migistrate court has issued an arrest warrant for the arrest of the NPP MP for Nhyiaso constitituency Hon. Stephen Amoah aka Stiker. This followed his failure to appear before the court today for flouting traffic regulation.

The MP was arrested and charged for dangerous driving together with six other drivers yesterday.

According to some online reports which were also published by CitizenOne, the police mounted a check point at the Airport overpass area yesterday. This followed complaints that drivers at the area were driving recklessly. The police charged the six of reckless driving contrary to the road traffic regulation.

They were to appear before the court to face prosecution today. But per News 360 on TV3 report, the MP and one other suspect failed to show up. The court then issued an arrest warrant for the arrest of the two.

Meanwhile the four who appeared before the court were found guilty of dangerous driving and sentenced to a find of GHC 1,500.00 each, failure to do so, they shall be jailed for 30 days each.
