The Member of Parliament (MP) for Mpraeso Constituency in the Eastern Region, Davis Opoku Ansah, has commended the government for making provision for the bridge over the Volta lake from Adawso to Afram Plains.
According to him, the construction of the bridge will also have roads around the project.
He said this would be a huge relief for the people of Kwahu and the Eastern Region as a whole.
Mr. Opoku Ansah added that this will also open up the food basket of the country.
He said this in a Twitter post on Sunday, December 5, 2021.
BIn Appendix 10C of the 2022 budget, the bridge over the Volta lake from Adawso to Afram Plains has been captured.

Meanwhile, the 2022 budget is expected to take centre stage in Parliament, as the Minority is still insisting it has been rejected as against the Majority’s approval.
