Fidelity Bank adjudged ‘Bank of the Year’

Accra, Nov. 28, GNA – The Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited has been adjudged the ‘Bank of the Year’ at the Fourth Edition of the Ghana Business Awards in Accra in recognition of its leadership role in the financial industry.

An official statement issued by the Bank and copied to the Ghana News Agency, on Sunday, said the Bank was awarded for its “excellent financial performance, digital transformation agenda, and strong social impact initiatives.”

In addition, the Founder and Board Chairman of the Bank, Mr Edward Effah, received the ‘Business Meritorious Award’ for his outstanding leadership in the industry over the years.

The Managing Director, Mr Julian Kingsley Opuni, was recognised as the ‘Best CEO in the Private Sector’ for introducing significant innovations that enhanced the Bank’s brand, reduced cost and increased profit.

The Ghana Business Awards is a prestigious awards programme that recognises individuals and companies who play significant roles in the growth and development of their respective business sectors.
Reacting to the milestone, Mr Opuni expressed gratitude to the organisers for the honour, and dedicated it to the Bank’s staff for their contributions toward its growth.
“This award is dedicated to the entire staff of Fidelity Bank in recognition of our hard work and I thank the organisers of the Award for honouring Fidelity’s efforts and innovation in the industry.

“What we do every day — managing relationships while providing solutions to our numerous customers – is very important work and we love it. I thank the entire Fidelity team for always choosing to go the extra mile for our customers,” he said.

The Fidelity Bank was licensed on October 6, 2006, and has since grown to become one of the prominent and thriving brands in the Ghanaian financial services industry.
It currently serves its approximately two million customers in 75 branches across the country.
