Sept. 17 (UPI) — G-Eazy and Demi Lovato confront their past in the new music video for “Breakdown.”

The duo are faced with past headlines about G-Eazy’s legal troubles and Lovato’s drug overdose in the clip released on Friday.

“I got big plans, but none of them feel like mine/ And I miss days where I used to feel like me/ Cause I’ve been trapped in all the freedom/ Throw my heart up at the ceiling/ I take another drink so I can kill the voice of reason/ I got big plans, but none of them feel like mine,” Lovato sings.

The song will appear on G-Eazy’s upcoming album These Things Happen Too, which will be released on Sept. 24. G-Eazy last released Everything’s Strange Here in June 2020.

“Breakdown” is available to stream through Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Soundcloud and Deezer.

Lovato will be performing at the Global Citizen Live concert at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on Sept. 25. Stevie Wonder, Adam Lambert, Chloe x Halle, H.E.R., OneRepublic, Ozuna, The Lumineers and 5 Seconds of Summer will also be taking the stage.
