Olamide Dominates Spotify, Apple Music Top 10 With New Album

Renowned rapper and music executive Olamide Adedeji, widely known as Olamide, has dominated Nigeria’s music streaming charts, claiming all Top 10 spots on both Spotify and Apple Music with tracks from his latest self-titled album, “Olamidé.”

According to data released by Top Charts Africa on Saturday, all ten positions on both streaming platforms are currently occupied by tracks from the YBNL boss’s latest project.

The achievement makes Olamide the only Nigerian artiste in 2025, so far, to have every track from an album simultaneously chart in the Top 10 across both platforms.

On Spotify, the lead track “Free” featuring Seyi Vibez and Muyeez sits at number one, closely followed by “Billionaires Club” featuring Wizkid and Darkoo.

Other tracks dominating the chart include “99” featuring Daecolm, Asake, and Young Jonn; “Kai!” with Wizkid; “Hasibunallah,” “Duro,” “Luvaluvah,” “Prelude” featuring Fxrtune, “Special,” and “Indika” featuring Dr. Dre and SPINALL.

On Apple Music, “Hybrid” holds the top spot, followed by “Billionaires Club”, “99”, “Ruba”, “Kai!”, “Hasibunallah”, “Luvaluvah”, “Duro”, “Indika”, and “Prelude” rounding out the top ten.

While “Free” continues to lead on Spotify, its absence from Apple Music’s Top 10 has stirred questions among listeners. @realeminence wrote, “Why ‘Free’ no dey Apple Music chart nah?”

The Olamidé album has drawn acclaim for its mix of street-hop, reflective themes, and international features, underscoring the singer’s growth and transformation after more than ten years in the music industry.

Olamide, founder of YBNL Nation, is widely recognised for playing a key role in launching the careers of Fireboy DML, Asake, Lil Kesh, and Adekunle Gold.

His latest streaming achievement further cements his status as one of Africa’s most influential artistes.
