The incident that has rocked the music industry began with the emergence of a disturbing video depicting the harassment and assault of Mohbad.
The footage captured a disturbing scene in which Mohbad appeared to be seated on a wheelchair at the scene of a movie video, accompanied by fellow artist Zlatan.
In the video, Sam Larry can be seen assaulting Mohbad from behind before Zlatan intervenes, putting an end to the altercation. The incident left fans and the public deeply troubled, demanding accountability and justice.
Adding more controversy to the situation, a document surfaced online, suggesting that the late Mohbad had filed a petition with the Nigerian police against Sam Larry.
The petition, dated June 2023, was submitted following the harassment and assault Mohbad experienced during the filming of a music video with Zlatan Ibile.
Yesterday, reports had suggested that Sam Larry had been arrested in connection with the assault. However, subsequent reports from the police clarified that he had been invited for questioning but had not yet been arrested.
This was boldly by the spokesperson for the Lagos Annex of the FCID, Oluniyi Ogundeyi.
He stated that the report was false and a complete lie. He emphasized that no one had been arrested.
