Transfer: Done deal; Mateo Kovacic agrees Man City deal; Arsenal make offer for Ivan Fresneda

Done deal: Nkounkou joins Saint-Etienne from Everton

Niels Nkounkou has joined Saint-Etienne on a permanent basis from Everton. The left-back joined the French side on loan for the season and will continue his career there.

Kovacic agrees Man City deal

Chelsea star Mateo Kovacic is another player that could be on the way out of Stamford Bridge, with a potential move to Manchester City. Pep Guardiola may have to replace Ilkay Gundogan who is out of contract this summer – and appears to have targeted Kovacic to be his successor. Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Kovacic has now nearly finalised personal terms to move to the Etihad next season. The two clubs will next discuss a potential price tag, but as the Croatian has just a year left on his contract, may struggle to get a high fee.

Arsenal make ‘lucrative’ offer for Fresneda

Arsenal have made a ‘lucrative’ offer for Spanish youngster Ivan Fresneda. German outlet Bild claims Borussia Dortmund are hoping to sign Fresneda this summer. However, the report claims the right-back also has an offer on the table from the Gunners. Fresneda was linked with both Arsenal and Newcastle in the January transfer window. The teenager doesn’t turn 19 until September but has caught the eye of teams across Europe.
