The First Female Most Wanted Terrorist In The World Who Has Been A Fugitive For Over 40 Years

According to Mirror, Joanne Deborah Chesimard who is mostly called Assata Olugbala Shakur is a terrorist who was born in the United States. Shakur who is a former member of the Black Liberation Army has been a fugitive for a very long time. She gained Fame from 1971 to 1977 after she was arrested for several crimes which includes kidnapping, assault and murder.

According to FBI, Shakur was arrested for several crimes between 1971 to 1973. She was arrested for first-degree murder of State Trooper Werner Foerster during a shootout that took place in New Jersey Turnpike in 1973. In the year 1977, she was found guilty of first degree murder, assault and battering of a police officer and she was sentenced to life imprisonment.

She spent several years in prison before she escaped in 1979. It was later reported that she ran to Cuba in the year 1984 and she hasn’t been seen since then. According to reports, Shakur became the first female most wanted terrorist in 2013 after she became the first female to be added to the list of FBI most wanted terrorists. Shakur who has been a fugitive for over 40 years is over 74 years old but she is still living as a terrorist.
