made a rare public appearance on Saturday at the funeral of Gladys Wairimu Kariuki, the widow of former Laikipia County legislator G. G. Kariuki, who died in 2017.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Nderitu Muriithi, the chairperson of the Kenya Revenue Authority board, also attended the sad event.
The former DCI chief, who left office in 2018 after nearly eight years in the role, made a rare public appearance.
George Kinoti, the former police chief of the Central Bank of Kenya, succeeded him.
After that, Muhoro was named Kenya’s ambassador to Malaysia, a role he held for more than five years before President William Ruto replaced him in October 2023.
The former top detective has stayed out of the spotlight and kept a very low profile for nearly two years.
