Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has given his followers and supporters a heartwarming glimpse of his son.
The politician became a parent a few months back but has only given netizens a tiny glimpse of the young one until now.

On Thursday, June 12, Salasya posted a heartwarming video on his Instagram, showing his son in a blue onesie, lying on his bed..

The infant smiled for a few seconds, a moment he is still learning, but one that brings joy to most parents.
One thing was clear: the young one resembled the politician, especially in the nose, mouth, and other features, something the MP himself acknowledges.
n his caption, Salasya pointed out his son’s nose, noting how much he misses him and would like him to visit his rural home to be shaved, as per his culture.
The MP added that he does not need a DNA test, as his son shares the same skin colour, and he has therefore agreed to raise him.
Salsya also disclosed how he met his son’s mother, noting that it was during last year’s Gen Z protests.
“Mapua ya huyu mtoto ni ya waluhya .Inafaa sasa mama ya mtoto amulete home wamunyoe nywele as per the culture .Ni mweupe kama mimi huyu .Aki huyu hata dna sitaki .Nimekubali he turning about 4months .Nilipatana na mamake wakati wa genz protest,” he wrote.
The video left many stunned as they agreed with him about the son’s resemblance and shared skin colour.
For others, it was a moment to call out Salasya for focusing on finding a partner while others were fighting for their country during the protests.

Peter Salasya discloses he has one child
A few years back, in 2023, Peter Salasya admitted during an interview that he has only one son.
Salasya was tight-lipped on the details, preferring to keep the info private, but ended up disclosing that he has only one kid.
He also noted that he does not have a wife; therefore, he is coparenting with his baby mama instead.
He added that, for him, politics was all for show, and opted not to involve those close to his heart.
