Some days ago Pasto Ben Kiengei preached against Kikuyu gospel musicians singing in clubs which raised mixed reactions. Among those who fired back at him include popular musician Muigai Wa Njoroge who said pastor Ben should leave them alone since the same men who give him tithe on Sunday are the same men they sing for in those clubs. He therefore warned pastor Ben to avoid attacking him since there is no difference between him and them.
Yesterday during the Sunday service pastor Ben talked about it and he responded to Muigai Wa Njoroge. He said in his church anything that is given by people is used in the church. He clearly stated that the tithe is used to buy food for the poor and widows since the bible is clear that the money should be used to make sure the house of the Lord has food.
He added that he is a hardworking man and he doesn’t depend on his followers and the money they give is still used within the church by them. He went ahead and interpreted few songs by Muigai Wa Njoroge talking about the holy spirit message which was in his songs. He concluded that there is no war between him and Muigai Wa Njoroge and in the course of this week he will find him and buy him lunch. What is your view on this?
