Gossip: De Gea ‘TURNS DOWN United’s new Deal offer’ As Red’s Try To Cut Down His £375k Weekly Wages.

Manchester United are looking forward to keeping David de Gea beyond the coming season at the Old Trafford. Already the red’s goalkeeper has kept the all time clean sheet record at the club in recent performances under Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United are in semi-final of FA Cup against Brighton as well as in last-8 round of Europa League competition against Sevilla. They can as well thank David de Gea for keeping them in games at some point where the team has performed poorly.

David de Gea has reportedly turned down the offer of the new contract at Manchester United ahead of his deal expiring at the end of this season. But negotiations with the Spanish stopper are expected to reach a positive conclusion.

When David signed his current deal in September 2019, United agreed to pay De Gea £375,000-a-week. Which then meant he became the world’s highest-paid goalkeeper.

He has passed the 500 appearance mark at Old Trafford since his 2011 move Atletico Madrid. Well then, De Gea has been in fine form and recently surpassed Peter Schmeichel as the club’s all-time record holder for clean sheets with 183.

According to The Athletic the red’s goalkeeper may have to then lower his wage demands if his to stay put at Old Trafford. Erik is a huge fun of David de Gea and will be happy to keep the 32-yr old beyond this summer at least.
