Many parts of the country are currently experiencing heavy downpour after a prolonged drought season of about three months. This has led to floods in some regions such as Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa, Garissa, Busia, Nakuru among other places. The floods have affected various sectors such as Education, Agriculture, Tourism, Transport and Communication among others.
Well, bad news to the ministry of education is that, following what KTN TV have aired, they have indicated that a teacher from Mumias succumbs of floods.
Reports indicates that, Joseph Ayoti drowned after his car rammed a motorcycle while raining, lost control and plunged into the river at Lusumu. Ayoti was a teacher at St. Peters Mumias and he loved his job.
Learners, teachers and Kenyans at large are advised not to walk over flooded areas so as to avoid such incidences. Drivers have also been cautioned to observe traffic rules more so if it is raining. What can you say about this. Drop your comment in the comment section below.
