By Edward Dankwah, GNA

Accra, Aug. 10, GNA – Leaders of the South East Ghana Union Mission (SEGUM) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church have joined members of the Hohoe Zone of the Volta Ghana Mission for the 2026 Annual Camp Meeting.

It was aimed at strengthening fellowship, spiritual renewal, and commitment among members.

A statement issued to the Ghana News Agency, said the camp meeting brought together more than 500 members from the three districts that make up the Hohoe Zone, as well as participants from other parts of the country.

It said the programme was hosted by Pastor Eric Amesimeku, District Pastor and Zone Leader for Hohoe West, Pastor Felix Kojo Asante, District Pastor for Kpando, and Pastor Alex Kwabena Apiah, District Pastor for Hohoe East.

A delegation from the SEGUM, led by Dr Isaac Owusu Dankwa, Chief Finance Officer, participated in the programme, together with other members of the delegation, including Pastor Dr Samuel Dorgbetor, the Communications Director, and Mrs Comfort Owusu Dankwa, the Education Director, among other leaders.

Pastor Paul Mawutor, the President of the Volta Ghana Mission, expressed gratitude to God for the successful organisation of the camp meeting, describing it as an important period for members to renew their faith and commitment to the work of God.

He said the church leadership used the occasion to encourage members to uphold Christian virtues, share the word of God with others and seek divine guidance in their daily lives.

Pastor Eric Amesimeku, District Pastor for Hohoe West and the Zonal Facilitator and organiser of the camp meeting, said the programme attracted participants from different parts of the region, with some travelling more than 65 kilometres to attend.

He expressed appreciation to God for the successful programme, stating that he was confident that the camp meeting would strengthen members and inspire them towards greater service to the church.

Pastor Felix Kojo Asante, District Pastor for Kpando, said the camp meeting had served as a source of encouragement and spiritual revival for members in his district.

He said the presence of leaders from the SEGUM, and other church leaders had boosted the morale of members and inspired them to remain steadfast in their Christian faith.

“Coming here, I have seen a lot and appreciated it a lot. Our leaders coming to join us have given us more morale and encouragement. I believe my members have been inspired and revived,” he added.

The church leaders also urged members to remain faithful to the scriptures and actively contribute to the mission of the church.

They emphasised the need for members to translate their renewed spiritual commitment into practical Christian living, service to others and active participation in the growth of the church.
