Congolese music icon Fally Ipupa has arrived in Nairobi for a headline performance at Uhuru Gardens on Saturday, September 5.
The award-winning artist is set to deliver a high-energy show featuring his chart-topping hits for Kenyan fans.
Sharing the stage with him are South African Amapiano powerhouse Kamo Mphela and renowned producer and DJ Maphorisa.
The lineup also features local and regional acts, including the popular group Kodong Klan alongside top-tier deck masters DJ Joe Mfalme, DJ Ice, and Tango Supreme.
The 12-hour concert kicks off at 3 PM Saturday and runs until 3 AM Sunday, featuring an extended set list highlighted by a nearly two-hour performance from Kodong Klan and a marathon two-hour and 45-minute headlining slot by Fally Ipupa.
Speaking during a brief press conference upon his arrival at Hotel Kempinski, the Congolese icon cut a striking figure, sporting a bright red silk scarf tied beneath his chin over a brown baseball cap, complemented by dark-framed designer sunglasses.
His upper look was accessorised with an oversized dark brown V-neck sweater decorated with an ornate gold brooch on the left chest, layered over a gold chain necklace, multiple gold bracelets and rings on both wrists and hands, along with a gold luxury wristwatch.
As he stylishly strode in, his unique mix of casual streetwear, luxury gold accessories, and a dramatic red silk headscarf brought an avant-garde, chic flair to the formal hotel suite.
Fally Ipupa’s return to Nairobi follows the sudden cancellation of his scheduled performance at the Africa Forward Le Concert at Kasarani in May.
