Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce have announced the signing of Ghana international Kojo Peprah Oppong for the ongoing season.

The 22-year-old centre-back joins the Yellow Canaries from French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice on a four-year contract worth €12 million.

Fenerbahce announced the signing of the Attram de Visser graduate on its media platforms, with the unveiling set for Saturday, August 29, at the 1907 Stand of the Chobani Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex.

“Our club has reached an agreement with Ghanaian defender Kojo Peprah Oppong,” Fenerbahce said.

“The signing ceremony for our new transfer, Kojo Peprah Oppong, will be held tomorrow, Saturday, August 29, at the 1907 Stand of the Chobani Stadium, Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex.

“The signing ceremony, which will take place with the attendance of our Football Director Oğuz Çetin, will be open to all press members at 11:00 AM.”

Oppong, who began his career in Ghana with Attram de Visser, had been with OGC Nice since 2025, where he made 29 Ligue 1 appearances with one goal last season.

He made a total of 43 appearances across the top flight, Coupe de France, the Ligue 1&2 relegation play-offs, as well as the UEFA Champions League qualification.

He arrived at the French club from Swedish side Norrköping, which he joined from Attram de Visser in a deal reported to be in the region of €2.68m, having previously spent time on loan with GIF Sundsvall.

Oppong Peprah penned a heartfelt message, hailing his time with the French Ligue club.

“It’s difficult to put into words how much this club and this year have meant to me. I enjoyed every single minute of my time here and had an incredible experience, from the everyday moments with the team to the unforgettable memories, especially reaching the Coupe de France final.

“But beyond the football, I’m most grateful for the people I met along the way. I came here as a player, but I leave with friends who became brothers. The memories, the laughter, the battles, the victories, and even the difficult moments will stay with me forever.
