Reggie Rockstone

Hiplife pioneer, Reggie Rockstone, has opened up about his experiences dating women who admired him, insisting that he never used his celebrity status to take advantage of them.

Speaking on ‘Talk To Kula’ on August 26, 2026, the music legend recalled advice his friends once gave him about getting romantically involved with fans.

According to Reggie, his friends believed dating fans could sometimes diminish the mystique surrounding a celebrity and the image fans had of their idols.

He then shared a humorous encounter from years ago involving a woman he was dating.

Reggie said the woman made an unexpected comment after seeing him in a vulnerable moment, which made him understand what his friends meant about the “mystique” of celebrity.

“My friends used to say we shouldn’t sleep with the fans. I remember years back, I was with this girl, when I was Reggie Rockstone; she was a fine sister,” he recalled.

He said the woman’s reaction after their intimate encounter caught him off guard and made him reflect on his friends’ advice.

“When my friends say don’t sleep with the fans, it kind of demotes the shine,” he said.

Despite the advice, Reggie stressed that he never exploited his fame in his relationships with women.

“I’ve never taken advantage of who I am in terms of my relations with women. Women love famous people, but I never took advantage,” he stated.

The hiplife veteran added that many of the women he dated were genuinely interested in him as a person rather than simply being attracted to his celebrity status.

“I met real people and a lot of the women I dated were real. They didn’t come to me because I was Reggie Rockstone,” he added.
