The star of the video, beyond Obinna’s mother herself, was arguably young Luironne’s nonchalant attitude towards the back-to-school tradition of shopping and pocket money.

His grandmother expressed clear concern that the boy had turned down both, a reaction that many Kenyans found both amusing and relatable.

Commenters were quick to weigh in, with `lovely_nevin` writing:

“Kama naeza nunua hiyo shopping shule pia mimi siwezi beba mzigo.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣” while `mercies_mercie` pointed out, “Big man sio mjinga anajua Shush lazima ampee kakitu 😁🤣🤣🤣🤣” suggesting Luironne had his own strategy.

Fans gush over Obinna’s mum

The real conversation, however, centred on Obinna’s mother, whose lively personality clearly resonated with viewers.

`mokogoti_bwa_atunga` led the praise:

“Your mum is so beautiful.”

@milly_wanjiru added;

“Obinna’s mum is so beautiful and full of life ❤️❤️.:”

@kevin_maina joked:

“Now we know where Obinna gets his character from 😂😂.”

@shiro_ke described the family as lovely, writin:

“Aki, his mum is lovely. What a beautiful family ❤️.”

@brian_kamau254 noted:

“Mum looks so good! You can tell she is very proud of her son.”
