The new pricing structure lowers the cost of the operator’s unlimited 100 Mbps broadband package from GHS 987 to GHS 299 per month.

MTN Ghana  has announced significant reductions in its fibre broadband prices following engagements with the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations  aimed at improving internet affordability in the country.

The new pricing structure lowers the cost of the operator’s unlimited 100 Mbps broadband package from GHS 987 to GHS 299 per month. The move is expected to make high-speed internet services more accessible to households and businesses across Ghana.

In addition to the 100 Mbps package, MTN Ghana has introduced new pricing for higher-speed offerings. Customers can now subscribe to an unlimited 300 Mbps package for GHS 444 per month, while the unlimited 500 Mbps package is available at GHS 999.

The announcement was made by the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, who said the reductions followed discussions aimed at securing more affordable, stable, and reliable broadband services for Ghanaians.

The Ministry indicated that it will continue engaging industry players to improve service quality and ensure consumers benefit from better telecommunications packages.

The revised fibre broadband prices come at a time when demand for high-speed internet continues to grow, driven by remote work, online learning, digital businesses, and increasing consumption of digital services.

The lower pricing is expected to improve broadband adoption and support Ghana’s broader digital transformation agenda by making reliable internet connectivity more affordable for a larger segment of the population.
