Democracy has destroyed South Africa

Democracy has destroyed South Africa

This weekend Ghana flies back home its second batch of citizens from South Africa who feel in danger in the country ruled until 1994 by an Apartheid regime. Whites had dominated the political issues of the country with accumulated wealth in the pockets of the whites leaving the black majority empty-handed, suffering life in poverty. Among the youth, 60% face the consequences of unemployment leading to Johannesburg being the so-called Murder City. A high crime rate is the consequence of inequality.

Nelson Mandela spent 27 years on Robbin Island behind bars for an unsuccessful attempt to violently overthrow the white majority in power and bring justice to his people. He embodied the Rainbow Nation as he walked through the prison gates into freedom. His footsteps lead him to have a rest in the rich white Oppenheimer family estate. His first move became significant for the future development of South Africa. The ANC African National Congress was born out of which the EFF Economic Freedom Fighters, emerged. The white economic elite created further political parties to scatter the black political majority.

Unemployed and angry black South Africans destroy the reputation of South Africa as a country worth investing in and living in for black Africans and white foreigners alike. March and March protests on June 30th 2026 against black foreigners legal or illegal migrants will further highlight the fundamental problems of South Africa and set back investment plans for the country. President Cyril Ramaphosa holds onto power being a big problem for a better South Africa. This is another obstacle on the way to economic progress for the black majority of the country.

While black South Africans loot shops and businesses of black foreign Africans, beating them up or killing them in cold blood they ignore that they have brought the problem onto themselves blaming foreigners instead. No foreign national has the right to vote in South Africa. Only South Africans can vote for their parliament and the President. Who voted for the ANC? Black South Africans did. They should have known that the ANC is the undertaker of black South Africa. As they cannot vote out the ANC and the President from office foreign nationals feel the heat of their mistakes.

The white economic elite sits in the background watching the street fights unfolding and the reputation of South Africa going down the drain. As they have businesses in other countries across Africa and beyond, the Millionaires and Billionaires of South Africa feel the scratch on their bodies but not their positions in danger. They play the piano and the ANC plays the flute, both in harmony.

When the white elite stands in the fire to lose their wealth and see all their businesses nationalised, they bow before reason. Pushed into the corner by a very strong visionary leader, a very, very strong one, they surely will give up most of their assets before losing it all. David faced Goliath and the Philistines were defeated. The strong leader will face assassination attempts from inside and outside South Africa. Alexander the Great used his sword to cut the knot in Gordion which had kept the city in bondage of misery for generations. It is possible…but not by voting. Not by reforms, by force. When someone wants to take away what someone else has processed, force is involved.
