Namibian referee Negongo Naftal has been appointed to officiate the crucial Group D encounter between Ghana and Senegal at the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The clash will kick off at 16:00GMT at the Mohammed VI Complex in Rabat on Saturday.

The highly anticipated clash is expected to play a key role in determining the group standings as both sides battle for qualification to the knockout stage.

CAF confirmed that Naftal will be assisted by Eleyeh Robleh of Djibouti as Assistant Referee One, while Emmanuel Habumugisha will serve as Assistant Referee Two.

Zambian officials Hillary Hambada and Nancy Kasitu have been named as the fourth referee and reserve assistant referee, respectively.

The Match Commissioner for the encounter will be Justin Mumba, also from Zambia, while Evarist Menkouande of Cameroon has been appointed as the referee assessor for the game.

The Black Starlets head into the fixture determined to secure a positive result after their opening 2-2 draw against Algeria.
