Gov’t committed to completing Gomoa Pomadze Poultry project

Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has reaffirmed the Mahama administration’s commitment to completing the Gomoa Pomadze Poultry project in the Central Region.

Speaking at the 93rd Jalsa Salana of the National Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission on Thursday, January 8, at Gomoa Pomadze, the Vice President assured that the project would feature purpose-built facilities for about 100,000 birds, modern feeding systems, a feed mill, and environmentally responsible waste management.

“We’re moving forward with the Pomadze Poultry initiative, which is designed to include purpose-built facilities for about 100,000 birds, modern feeding systems, a feed mill, and environmentally responsible waste management,” she said, emphasising the project’s contribution to national food security.

She explained that the initiative is aligned with national strategies under the Feed Ghana and “Nkokonkitinkiti” programmes, aimed at boosting domestic poultry production and reducing reliance on imports by 2028.

“This initiative aligns directly with our national objectives under the Feed Ghana and ‘Nkokonkitinkiti’ to strengthen domestic poultry production and, significantly, reduce reliance on imports by 2028,” she said.
