Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde stirred reactions after briefly refusing to respond to a young presenter at the 46th Miss Nigeria Patrons & Board Dinner in Lagos on Sunday.
Naija News reports that the event brought together several high-profile guests, including the actress.
A video circulating online showed the presenter, who seemed inexperienced, asking Omotola to introduce herself during a live segment.
The presenter said: “Alright, welcome to 2026 Miss Nigeria dinner. I am currently live with…?”
The question appeared to catch her off guard, and she paused before reacting.
She questioned whether the presenter was ready to handle the interview, expressing her frustration before moving to leave.
“You are here with who? I should tell you my name? You are not ready,” she said.
The presenter tried to explain that he only wanted to mention her name for the audience, but Omotola declined, saying she was tired and saw no need to do so.
“I know you, Omotola Jalade, I just want fans to know who I am with,” the presenter added.
She replied: “Why should I let fans know me? I am tired.”
Despite this, the interview continued briefly as the presenter attempted to engage her further.
Omotola, who recently celebrated her 30th wedding anniversary with Matthew Ekeinde, appeared visibly impatient with the exchange, showing that she did not appreciate the approach.
