Koku Anyidoho congratulates outgoing NDC Chairman Asiedu Nketia for his commitment to the party

Koku Anyidoho, a former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and spokesperson for the late President John Evans Atta Mills, has congratulated outgoing NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia for his commitment and contributions to the party over the years.

Mr. Anyidoho described Mr. Asiedu Nketia, popularly known as Mosquito, as a loyal and dedicated party member who has played a significant role in the NDC’s leadership and development.

The congratulatory message has sparked controversy in some quarters, given the history of disagreements between the two men. However, Mr. Anyidoho maintains that his remarks are meant to acknowledge Mr. Asiedu Nketia’s contributions to the growth of the party.

Meanwhile, lawyer Obiri Boahen has commended Mr. Anyidoho for acknowledging the efforts of his former boss despite their differences.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News, Mr. Boahen said Mr. Asiedu Nketia’s absence from the chairmanship would not necessarily affect the NDC, describing it as a signal of a new era for the party.

The comments have renewed discussion about leadership transitions within the NDC and the role of party unity.
