New Twist As ODM Finally Gives Final Update on Oburu Oginga Health Condition

ODM Secretary General Catherine Omanyo has confirmed that Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga is expected to be discharged from the hospital following his recovery.

The announcement comes amid growing public interest in the senator’s health, with supporters and political allies eager to receive updates on his condition.

Omanyo credited Kenyan doctors for their role in Oburu’s recovery, acknowledging the medical professionals who have been attending to him.

Although the ODM official confirmed that the senator is preparing to leave the hospital, the exact discharge date has not been provided in the available statement. Further details are expected to clarify when he will return home.

Oburu is a veteran politician and the younger brother of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. He took over the leadership of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) following Raila’s death, placing him at the centre of the party’s leadership and political activities.

News of his expected discharge is likely to reassure ODM supporters who have been concerned about his health. However, details regarding his illness, treatment and recovery timeline have not been disclosed in the information provided.

The latest update also highlights the role of local healthcare professionals in treating prominent Kenyans, with Omanyo expressing appreciation for the doctors involved in his care.

Oburu’s health has attracted attention because of his position as Siaya senator and ODM party leader. His recovery is therefore being followed closely by party members and political observers.

As supporters await his discharge, attention will remain on official communication from ODM regarding his condition and plans after leaving the hospital.

For now, Omanyo’s statement offers an encouraging update, confirming that Oburu is expected to leave the hospital while recognising the contribution of Kenyan doctors to his recovery.
