CS Julius Migos Announces Projects President Ruto Will Launch During Nyamira Visit

Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos has revealed several development projects expected to be launched or commissioned by President William Ruto during his upcoming tour of Nyamira County.

Migos shared the details on Saturday, November 7, 2026, during a public engagement attended by Nyamira Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi, West Mugirango MP Steve Mogaka and Kitutu Chache North MP Japheth Nyakundi.

The meeting brought together local leaders and residents to discuss preparations for the President’s visit and outline the development activities lined up for the region.

According to Migos, Ruto is expected to begin his Nyamira programme on Sunday with an interdenominational church service at Nyamaiya Stadium, bringing together religious leaders and residents.

The Head of State will also commission an ICT Hub in Nyamira Town as part of the government’s efforts to expand digital access and create opportunities for young people.

Additionally, the President is scheduled to launch two major road construction projects, namely the Bondeni-Magombo Road and the Riamoni-Esani-Machururiati-Nyangori Road.

The two roads are expected to be upgraded to bitumen standards, improving accessibility, transportation and connectivity for communities living along the routes.

Ruto will further inspect the ongoing Manga Affordable Housing Project to assess its progress and implementation.

Another key activity will be the launch of the Last Mile Electricity Connectivity Programme, which seeks to extend electricity access to more households and communities across the county.

After completing his engagements in Nyamira, the President is expected to travel to neighbouring Kisii County, where he will continue with his development tour.

The visit is expected to place infrastructure development, affordable housing, digital transformation and electricity connectivity at the centre of discussions, as the government continues implementing its development agenda across different parts of the country.
