Gachagua: Wetang’ula voted to impeach Sonko after eating his money

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has accused National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula of receiving money from former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko before participating in the Senate proceedings that led to his removal from office through impeachment.Speaking during a political gathering, Gachagua claimed Wetang’ula had taken money linked to Sonko’s impeachment before voting to support his removal, in fresh allegations targeting the Speaker over his role in the controversial 2020 ouster.
