Isaya Yunge’s Father Breaks Silence, Pens Heartwarming Message to Charlene Ruto after Wedding

Charlene Ruto’s marriage to Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge has brought together two families, and one of the warmest messages after the ceremony came from the groom’s adoptive father, Solomon Waigwa.

Waigwa welcomed Charlene into the family following the couple’s white wedding at Malaika Beach Hotel in Mwanza on Friday, November 6. In a social media post accompanied by photographs from the celebration, he expressed his happiness at the union and prayed for the newlyweds as they began married life.

He also shared a message to his son, telling Isaya that he loved him and congratulating him on marrying a beautiful wife. Waigwa then addressed Charlene directly, welcoming her into the family and describing the occasion as a day made by God.

The message offered a glimpse into the family’s joy beyond the grandeur of the wedding. Waigwa had earlier shared another celebratory post from Mwanza, thanking Ida Odinga for the warmth shown to him and Tabitha during the wedding celebrations and extending prayers to her family.

Charlene, the daughter of President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto, exchanged vows with Isaya at the lakeside venue in a ceremony attended by relatives, friends and prominent guests from Kenya and Tanzania. Her father walked her down the aisle, while Tanzanian Prime Minister Mwigulu Nchemba was among the dignitaries present.

The bride wore a white gown with three-dimensional floral details and a long cathedral veil. Isaya opted for a black suit, white shirt and yellow patterned tie.

The white wedding followed the couple’s traditional Kalenjin Koito ceremony held in Narok County in August 2026. That event brought the two families together ahead of their Mwanza celebration.

Waigwa’s message added a heartfelt family moment to a wedding that attracted attention widely. His public welcome also underlined the significance of Charlene’s new place in the Yunge family as the couple begins their life together.
