Full List of Leaders That Accompanied President Ruto to Mwanza for Charlene Lavish Wedding

President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, became the centre of attention after exchanging marriage vows with her Tanzanian fiancé, Isaya Yunge, during a colourful wedding ceremony held in Mwanza, Tanzania, on Friday, November 6, 2026.

The high-profile event attracted several influential personalities from Kenya and Tanzania, with President Ruto travelling across the border alongside First Lady Rachel Ruto to witness their daughter’s special occasion.

However, the presence of several Kenyan political leaders and senior government officials at the ceremony also generated considerable public interest, particularly after photographs and videos from the celebrations began circulating online.

Among the notable leaders who attended was National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, who joined other senior government figures in celebrating with the First Family.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi also attended the occasion alongside his wife, Tessie Mudavadi. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale were equally among the prominent government officials spotted at the event.

Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi was another politician whose appearance attracted attention, especially after photographs showing him interacting with President Ruto emerged online.

Other political leaders identified among the attendees included Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang and Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo.

The list also featured Mbeere North MP Leo Wa Muthende, Medical Services Principal Secretary Dr Ouma Oluga, Water and Sanitation Principal Secretary Julius Korir and Kenya Rural Roads Authority Board Chairperson Anthony Mwaura.

Outside the political establishment, comedian Eddie Butita and his partner Celest Terer were also among the personalities who attended the glamorous celebration.

The Mwanza wedding followed an earlier traditional engagement ceremony held at President Ruto’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Narok County, where the two families formally celebrated the union.

During the white wedding, Ruto and Rachel shared memorable moments with their daughter as they accompanied her towards the altar before she exchanged vows with Yunge.

The ceremony highlighted the close relationship between the Kenyan and Tanzanian families while providing an opportunity for several prominent leaders to interact outside their usual political engagements.

As more photographs from the event continue emerging, Kenyans have been expressing mixed reactions, with many focusing on the impressive list of personalities who travelled to Tanzania to celebrate with the President’s family.
