“I Love Wamunyoro” – Kalonzo Musyoka Declares as He Arrives at Gachagua’s Home

Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has this afternoon arrived at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s Wamunyoro residence in Nyeri County for a highly anticipated meeting.

Kalonzo was warmly received at the homestead by a host of Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) diehards who had camped at Wamunyoro to welcome him.

Among those who were at hand to receive him was Nyandarua Senator John Methu, who is a close ally of Rigathi Gachagua, alongside other DCP leaders.

Upon his arrival, Kalonzo could not hide his excitement. He declared his love for the village that has now become the centre of opposition politics in the country.

“I love Wamunyoro,” Kalonzo said shortly after stepping out of his vehicle where he was welcomed by the enthusiastic crowd.

The Wiper leader said his visit to Wamunyoro was a friendly reciprocal gesture. This comes just days after Gachagua visited him at his rural home in Tseikuru, Kitui County, where the two leaders held lengthy talks on the state of the nation.

Kalonzo had earlier stated that Wamunyoro had become more than just a home for Gachagua, but a symbol of unity and hope for many Kenyans who are yearning for change. He insisted that the opposition is more united than ever before and dismissed claims that there are cracks within the team.

He noted that frequent consultations among opposition leaders are part of a broader strategy to ensure they present a formidable team ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The meeting between Kalonzo and Gachagua is currently ongoing behind closed doors at Wamunyoro, with more details and a joint address expected after the talks.

The visit is seen as a major step in solidifying the relationship between Kalonzo and Gachagua, two key figures in the opposition formation that is seeking to unseat President William Ruto’s administration.
