What Ahero Primary Teacher Had Posted Several Hours Ago Before Found Murdered By Suspected Thieves

New details have emerged about what Ahero primary school teacher and businessman Justus Onyando had posted on his Facebook account 17 hours before he was found murdered while heading home from his M-Pesa business shop.

Justus Onyando, a teacher at a primary school in Ahero, Kisumu County, was brutally murdered while returning home from his M-Pesa business, leaving his family, friends and colleagues in shock.

In what has since become a heartbreaking detail, the teacher had shared a post on his Facebook account with the caption “Taking care of environment” just 17 hours before he was found dead.

According to reports, Onyando was hacked to death by armed attackers near Flyover Junction in Ahero while heading home at around 10 pm.

His body was reportedly found dumped by the roadside, raising concerns over the circumstances surrounding the deadly attack.

Beyond his teaching career, Onyando was also a businessman who operated an M-Pesa shop to support himself financially.

Despite his professional training, he had not yet secured employment with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

Onyando trained as a teacher at Kigari Teachers Training College, where he belonged to the Class of 2008/2010. However, like many trained teachers still seeking formal employment, he turned to business and other opportunities to make ends meet.

He also worked with Action Rift Security Ltd as he sought to sustain himself through different sources of income.

His death has sparked sadness among those who knew him, particularly given the circumstances in which he was killed.

His final Facebook post has also drawn attention, with many reflecting on how quickly his life was brought to an end.
