Kalonzo Set To Be Persuaded To Shelve His 2027 Presidential Bid Tomorrow

Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka is set to be persuaded tomorrow, Monday to shelve his 2027 Presidential ambition.

According to Cleophas Malala, Rigathi Gachagua has already accepted to back Edwin Sifuna for the top seat in the 2027 general elections.

Following that, Malala has now revealed their plan to hold talks with Kalonzo Musyoka tomorrow on Monday to try and persuade him to shelve his Presidential ambition in favour of Edwin Sifuna.

Malala who was speaking at a public event, claimed that Rigathi Gachagua during his recent meeting with Sifuna at Wamunyoro, agreed to back him for Presidency. Hence, he said that they are now planning to persuade Kalonzo Musyoka tomorrow to also back Sifuna for the top seat.

“Tumesema tunataka kuongea pia na Kalozo ashike mkono Sifuna. On Monday tunaenda kukaa na Kalonzo, sisi na Riggy G tushaelewana mtoto wetu ako sawa tusiongee maneno mingi.” Cleophas Malala said.

This comes even as political realignments continue to take shape. A number of Leaders within the Opposition faction including Kalonzo Musyoka, Rigathi Gachagua and Edwin Sifuna have already expressed interest in being the Opposition flagbearer in the 2027 general elections. Cleophas Malala has now claimed that Gachagua has already agreed to back Sifuna and revealed their plan to try and persuade Kalonzo Musyoka to also shelve his presidential ambition in favour of Edwin Sifuna.
