Details have emerged on what Nairobi woman Faruz Hussein allegedly did with her boyfriend before she was brutally murdered at night.

The 21-year-old is said to have had a disagreement with her boyfriend before he allegedly suffocated her using a pillow. Her family claims that the man later shared videos of the alleged killing with them.

The incident was reported at Sunton Police Station in Kasarani on September 30, 2026, after Faruz was found dead in the Githurai Sunton area. Her sudden death has plunged her family into mourning as they seek answers about what happened.

According to her relatives, they learnt of the tragedy after the suspect allegedly sent them videos showing the incident.

The family was left devastated by the disturbing development and is now demanding justice for their loved one.

The relatives have also expressed fear over threats allegedly issued by the suspect against other family members.

They claim he threatened to kill Faruz’s younger sister, their mother and her 15-year-old brother.The alleged threats have raised concerns about the safety of the surviving relatives, who fear that they could also be targeted.

The family is appealing to the authorities to take urgent action and ensure their protection.

Documents presented by the family indicate that the suspected murder was recorded at the police station under Occurrence Book number 37. A letter addressed to a mortuary superintendent names Faruz as the deceased and states that her body was recovered from a house in Githurai Sunton.

The case gained further public attention after former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko announced a reward on social media for credible information that could lead to the suspect’s arrest.

His announcement came as Kenyans expressed outrage over the alleged killing and the reported threats against Faruz’s relatives.Many have called for a thorough investigation and swift action to ensure justice is served.

Police are continuing to investigate the suspected murder and the alleged threats against the family. The accusations against the boyfriend have not yet been proven in court.
