Top ODM Official Reveals How Oburu’s Family Is Devastated By Ongoing Death Rumours, States These

The family of ODM Party Leader Senator Oburu Oginga has said it is devastated by the continued spread of fake news about his health. ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale issued the statement to the public on Tuesday.

Etale reminded Kenyans that the freedoms they enjoy allow them to express themselves freely. He said citizens must however do so responsibly and with respect for other people.

According to the statement Daktari Oburu is equally disturbed by the false reports. The senator is currently resting and recuperating after several weeks of treatment both abroad and locally.

He has asked the section of Kenyans who are happily spreading the rumours to give him time to recover fully. He wants to regain his health and energy and then return to active life soon.

Etale urged the public to refrain from sharing false information meant to cause agony and pain to others. He said such conduct shows little concern for a family that is already going through a difficult moment.

The latest appeal comes at a time when rumours about the health of the ODM leader have been circulating widely on social media. The party has previously dismissed such reports while confirming that the senator has been undergoing treatment.

Etale has long served as the voice of the party and often steps in to clarify matters of public interest. His message this time carried a personal tone and a plea for compassion.

Political leaders and supporters alike are now being urged to verify information before posting it online. Party officials say the family deserves privacy and peace as the senator works towards a full recovery and a return to his duties. Many Kenyans wish him a quick recovery.
